Changing user to administrator
I hope this is the right place to post my question/problem.
I bought my laptop pre-installed at a shop some time ago.
Now I need to be able to use administrator rights to perform some alterations.
The shop was kind enough to give me some of the passwords they use to install laptops but that is the problem: How do I login as administrator ?
If this is not the right place for this question can you please re-direct me to the right place.

Yes, this is the right place 🙂
If you already have the administrator password from the shop, you can change your current account to administrator by doing this:
- Open Settings → Accounts → Family & other users
- Select your account
- Click Change account type
- Change it from Standard User to Administrator
- Enter the admin password when prompted
You can also log in directly to the administrator account if the shop provided the username/password for it.
