hi AdiGilad check below and try
Common reasons you’re not getting the Microsoft Authenticator notification
1.Push notifications are disabled on the phone
Even if the app is installed, notifications may be blocked.
Check on your phone:
Settings → Notifications → Microsoft Authenticator
Allow:
Notifications
Banners
Sounds
Background refresh
Also disable Battery Optimization / Power Saving for the app.
2.Authenticator app is out of sync
Time drift can break MFA.
Fix:
Open Microsoft Authenticator
Go to Settings → Time correction for codes → Sync now
3.You’re signed into the wrong account in Authenticator
This happens a lot if you have multiple Microsoft or work accounts.
Check:
The account shown in Authenticator matches exactly the account you’re using to log into Azure
If missing → add it again
4.Network or VPN is blocking notifications
Corporate VPNs or restrictive networks can block push notifications.
Test:
Turn off VPN
Switch from Wi-Fi to mobile data
Try logging in again
5.Authenticator was partially reset or corrupted
Phone upgrades, restores, or app updates can silently break registration.
Symptoms:
App opens but no prompts arrive
Codes exist but Azure expects push approval
6.Your phone number / device is no longer registered
The device might have been removed from Entra ID security info.
If you’re an admin:
Entra admin center → Users → Your user → Authentication methods
Verify the device is listed
What you can do right now
Try alternate sign-in options
On the MFA screen:
Click “Sign in another way”
Use:
SMS
Voice call
Backup codes (if available)
If you are completely locked out
Option 1: Another Global Admin resets MFA (fastest)
If your tenant has another Global Admin:
Entra admin center
Users → Your account
Authentication methods → Require re-register MFA
Log in and re-enroll Authenticator
