Bluetooth Frustrations

I'm experiencing a problem with Windows11. I have headphones which when I restart my PC,  pair and blue tooth is shown in the notification area. Although after using my headphones and they power off; blue tooth disconnects and won't connect and allow the headphones to pair again, without restarting the computer ?

  • Disable power saving for the Bluetooth adapter

    1. Press Win + X > Device Manager.
    2. Expand Bluetooth.
    3. Right‑click your main Bluetooth adapter (e.g., “Intel Wireless Bluetooth”, “Realtek Bluetooth”, etc.) > Properties.
    4. Go to the Power Management tab.
    5. Uncheck “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power”.
    6. Click OK and test

If issue remains then it's likely driver or windows glitch. In this case, instead of restart, You can also just disable and enables device:

    1. Open Device Manager > Bluetooth.
    2. Right‑click the Bluetooth adapter > Disable device.
    3. Wait ~5 seconds, then Enable device.
    4. Try connecting the headphones again.

This often has the same effect as a restart for the Bluetooth stack
