Auto substitute emotions within the text
I didn't investigate this, but in Excel community we often have side effect like this What's the simplest way to avoid such behaviour of the editor?

I would recommend you use the 'Insert Code' function in the text editor to avoid the emoticon shortcuts. See a test below.
=SUM(D3:D12)

That doesn't help:
=SUM(D3:D12)
=SUM(D3:D12)
Why we need these functionality here at all? That's so seldom on this site when people use emotions, if someone wants it's always possible to insert from menu without shortcuts.

That's odd behaviour, when I first tested, it worked but now i can see it doesn't. Will work to fix this.
