Assistance Needed for Posting a Blog on Microsoft Tech Community Portal
I am planning to post a blog on the Microsoft Tech Community portal, but I am unable to find the option to do so. Is there a way to post our blog related to Microsoft on the Tech Community portal? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

This an example of how you post a blog on the Tech Community, hope that helps.
- Hello, you need to Sign in to the Microsoft Tech Community: Make sure you're logged into your account on the Microsoft Tech Community portal.
Join a Relevant Community: To post a blog, you need to be a member of the specific product or solution community where you want to share your content. Navigate to the community related to your blog's topic (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Azure, etc.), and click Join.
Navigate to the Blog Section: Once you've joined the relevant community, go to the "Blogs" section. You'll typically find this in the community’s main navigation.

Hi
UNFORTUNATELY! Your description applies only to publishing posts ( queries ).
In MTC, the Blog has been reserved for Microsoft Employees or Microsoft MVP!
This distinction is decisive, the MTC Member cannot publish in the form of a BLOG after logging in.
If I'm wrong, I ask the Manager to correct my answer 🙂
- Thank you for the clarification!
I appreciate the distinction you made, and it’s important for members to know the difference between posting in discussions and contributing to the blog section. If there are any updates or changes to this policy, it would be great to hear from a Manager to confirm. 😊
- sierra-upsteam-1999Copper ContributorYep you should be able to post after you've done the things above.
- ridleypatent36Copper ContributorTo post a blog on the Microsoft Tech Community, you’ll usually want to look for the "Start a Discussion" or "Create a Post" button on the homepage. Once you're there, just select the right category for your topic.

Manoj_Kumar1120 Hello! Our blogs are written by Microsoft employees primarily.
In some cases those teams do designate MVPs or other experts to guest post, but we do not have a guest post submission process.
Feel free to post your blog content (as long as you do not include any third-party links) in the appropriate discussion spaces! You can find an appropriate space here: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/Communities/ct-p/communities
- Manoj_Kumar1120Brass ContributorEricStarker thanks for the update.
I have posted my blog content titled ‘Best Practices for Classifying and Labeling Data with Azure Information Protection’ in the discussions section of the Community Hub under Security, Compliance, and Identity. Please review it and let me know if it can be approved for the blog post.- EricStarkerFormer EmployeeThere is no review or approval process. Once you've posted it, it's done.
If it was moved to the approval queue (meaning our automated system thought it might be spam), our team looks at that manually every day and will publish your content.
