New Edu Notebooks

Just had a quick scan through one of the new Edu Notebooks. Its great that MS have provided these guides. BUT. . .there is a section on Onenote and learning styles that gave me a start. It is well established in educational research that learning styles don't exist. I know some people believe they do, and some people wish they did, and some people think they ought to, but the fact is they don't.

If Education is a priority for MS, how is it that a theory that is dead in the water makes it into their flagship educational product?

To support my previous post, here is a paper by Dan Willingham about 'The Scientific Status of Learning Styles Theories'. I've had a look at the learning styles pamphlet available from the page in the edu notebook; if you're interested, read the above, then read the pamphlet. I don't think MS should promote ideas that are shown to be ineffective.
