Is there a way to boot an Azure vm from a snapshot every time?

Im wanting to create a vm in Azure that every time it turns on it boots to a snapshot. I know that I can create a snapshot of a disk and then create a managed disk from that source snapshot but I don't want to create and replace the disks everytime I use the machine. I just wanted to know if there is an easier way to do this?
