Does a retention rate need to be set if there is already a lifecycle management policy rule set?
I have some NSG flow logs that is sending data over to a storage account. The retention days is set to 0 for the NSG flow log resource (where it is retained forever in the storage account).
In the storage account resource under the Rule Scope, it is set to "Apply rule to all blobs in your storage account". The condition is set under Base blobs where if the base blobs haven't been modified in 180 days, then it will delete the blob.
My original thought process is that if this is already in place, then I can keep the retention days as 0 instead of 180 on each and every single NSG flow resource that is sending data to the storage account.

- Do you want to apply a different rule for blobs produced by the NSG diagnostic and for other blobs?
If yes, you can use filtering option in the lifecycle rule.
The NSG logs are saved in a particular container (if I remember well) so you can apply rules for all the other container except for that.
