About reserved capacity in Azure Storage Pricing Calculator

Hi,

 

I was using the pricing calculator of Azure Storage Accounts and saw and item that I could't fully understand.

 

 

I was able to figure out the capacity specification. The solution I'm designing foresees that our consumed space will be 550 GB after one year.

 

¿Would you help to understand this item in the pricing calculator?

      What I mean is what is the significance of that field.. Is it just for getting a discount for paying in advance in other kind of suscription that the PAYG?

        Hello Jonas,

         

        In your case and for long term storage, the price will vary depending on the type. Cold or Hot (cold, you must commit not to touch the data for a period of time).
