Issue Using Built in Trainable Classifiers in Auto Labelling Policies - Purview
Hello BanuMurali and thanks for reaching out.
I am curious if this issue still persists on your end. This error would occur when a Sensitive Information type is referenced but the associated rule package is missing/not properly linked or maybe if the SIT was deleted, renamed -basically meaning the SIT's name no longer matches any existing rule package in your tenant.
I will log this for investigation and see if we can get feedback on this behavior.

Hi,
I experience the same issue across multiple tenants. This has been a problem for several weeks for the built-in trainable classifiers although their status is "Ready to use". We created a ticket for MS on the issue two weeks ago, but still haven't heard anything. These auto-labeling policies with trainable classifiers - by the way - worked perfectly fine in October 2025. Hopefully the issue will be fixed shortly.
