Forced to new purview portal nothing works or is too slow
Yup, it's slow and navigation is horrendous. They haven't even removed the toggle on top and still redirect you to the (now retired) old portal if you click it... The Q in Microsoft 365 stands for Quality :)
Best use the Feedback button on the portal and give them a piece of your mind.
Thank you for letting us know. I'm following up with the team regarding the Toggle still showing up after the M365 Compliance Center deprecation. Regarding the navigation, can you please elaborate why it's horrendous? What is it that you cannot find, and can you please let me know which pages are slow? We're investigating performance issues overall right now. Thanks again.

The entire interface is slow. I've been clicking 'Edit Policy' in Purview for 10 minutes and still haven't gotten the window to edit my DLP policy.

Hello , I am working on daily basis on Purview portal since more than 1 year now. the strategy in my company is to extend usage of Sensitivity labels to Data loss prevention use cases in my company. We target the implementation of Auto-Labeling Recommendation to end-users which is great to classify content in one click for increasing adoption of sensitivity labels. However I cannot detail you all the "pain points" experienced with Purview portal. It becomes the worst management portal of all the solutions I integrated in my company since 30 years with different vendors
- Why this portal , targeting experts with high privileged roles has an upper banner to sell microsoft products that takes 50 % of the Home screen ???? is it a joke ? Are we still part of a great commercial strategy ? We go on this portal to solve incidents and adapt prototyping DLP rules with labels settings with our management pressure with real use cases and we waste 3 minutes minimum to simply go in the configuration of a label or a Data loss prevention policy matching results ? What is the joke with Purview???? honestly did you have a building team including expert on purview on ther daily job ? Or are they doing PS scripting to manage this portal all the time ?
- Also the Explorers part in Information protection , Data explorer, Content explorer, Activity explorer, interesting but we don't have response times adapted ...you wait 2 minutes sometimes with going in menus and sub menus for filtering sensitivity labels on a few documents ??? with Sensitive information types associated , a request that takes 2s with a classic All resources view in Azure using customizable filters ...Azure portal is great ! Purview portal is really the opposite . It is also impossible to search for a single user just with his last names. We take an error in the Data explorer part ..... I am obliged to ask my analytics team to get an external reporting tool for scoping evolution of labeling in my company on end-user side after the implementation of the Auto labeling features and DLP
I am free to be contacted by your deliverable building team in Purview to make things evolve and be productive instead of complaining and have a great management portal that must target the priorities for expert of the solution to manage Purview easily since it becomes Microsoft fundamental brick in Data Compliance and governance tooling.

I have tenant wide exports (which only have 10-20 responsive items) that are now in their 6th day exporting. Why offer tenant wide searching if this is the best performance on offer. I cannot cancel an export -what a great feature that would be and everything in the case that I send to a review set after a tenant wide search also is taking several days. If the system cannot cope with tenant wide searches then why offer them? I appreciate that the we have a very large data set to trawl but 6 days? I now have the original data set exporting and two extras that I tried to re run all running and nothing is moving anywhere! Surely this should be better?
