Seems to be the desktop app - If I open the word doc from sharepoint it will bring up the pop up to alert me - but if from the same sharepoint document library I select the word doc and then select the 'open in app' option, it will open the sharepoint file in the desktop app but no popup.
Does this still sound like a config issue even though I'm opening the same file?
