Auto-apply labels to cloud attachments - Attachments in Teams

I need to implement a policy to remove all the documents shared in Teams 1:1 chat. I can clear the chat history but attachments were not getting deleted.

hence I followed article Auto-apply labels to cloud attachments , created the policy. It looks like this is not working even after 7 days. Please let me know how can i troubleshoot ?

    Thanks for posting here, and I'm sorry it took so long for you to get a response!

     

    When you created the label policy, which locations did you set it against? You should have one for SharePoint and OneDrive and then one for Teams itself, is that right?

      miller34mike Thanks for the response. I set for OneDrive. basically I need to remove the attachments from Teams.  These attachments will be saved in OneDrive wright. So i updated only the OneDrive for entire organization . But for some reason , Label is applying to the file saved in preservation hold library but file not getting deleted. Appreciate if you can help.
