Not receiving triggered alerts from Azure Data Factory

I'm working on building a test environment to understand how alerts work in Azure Data Factory, and on what the notifications look  like, and have set up Alerts against the data factory.  In spite of triggering alerts, I'm not receiving any alerts in the configured mailbox.  Btw, I have received the notifications that I have been added to the action group.

Any tips or tricks on troubleshooting the issue?
