Monitor website in azure application insights using kusto queries

I want to capture some statistics for a website using Azure Application Insights. I am creating a dashboard to visualize such stats captured. However I have no idea how I can monitor a website/ web page in Application Insights. I have followed this https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-monitor/app/website-monitoring but the kql given there does not work for me. I should be able to pass the URL of the page which I am trying to get stats. Is there any way to do this?
