azure monitor agents

I am researching regarding telegraf monitoring agent for Linux VM but I can't find many documents, do we need this agents or replaced with azure native agents? I have dependency agents/ OMS agents. however these appears has more metrics and working with azure identity and scaling the vmss. is anyone chime in on this agent.
