Need to migrate a on prem SQL Server Always On availability group to SQL Server on Azure VMs

I need to migrate a on prem sql always on availability group VM cluster on ESX to SQL Server on Azure VMs using azure migrate. The doc Microsoft has here https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-sql/migration-guides/virtual-machines/sql-server-availability-group-to-sql-on-azure-vm goes over an example for a source cluster but its physical and it uses the agent method where the mobility service is installed on the source physical cluster. Since my sql  cluster source servers are VMs is there a difference if i use the agent or agentless migration method? Is one better then the other? thanks so much
