How do I integrate my existing Azure AD with Office 365 Business Essentials

I have a Windows Server 2016 Active Directory (AD) that I plan to migrate to Azure Active Directory (AAD). My Windows AD does NOT have email functionality, so, I also plan to buy Office 365 Business Essentials plan that does contain email functionality.

Now, according to https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/office365/enterprise/azure-integrationOfficial Office 365 document:

Office 365 uses Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) to manage user identities behind the scenes. Your Office 365 subscription includes a free subscription to Azure AD so that you can integrate Office 365 with Azure AD if you want to sync passwords or set up single sign-on with your on-premises environment.

Question: After I migrate my Windows Server 2016 AD to Azure AD, how can I integrate that Azure AD to office 365 Business Essentials so all my Windows AD user accounts (with passwords) get synched with office 365 Business Essentials? I am a bit confused since there are two Azure AD's are in play here.

    Hello,

You could setup Azure AD Connect to synchronize your on-premises AD users to Azure AD by following this link: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/hybrid/how-to-connect-install-express

When you create your Office 365 subscription you will automatically get a Azure AD created with it.

After you've done that you can setup The AAD Connect to synchronize users to your AAD/O365 tenant.
