Azure Migrate Appliance
Hi, We are planning to migrate 100 servers to Azure and are looking for guidance on deploying the Azure Migrate appliance. Due to space limitations on-premises, we do not have room to deploy the app...
Recently, we had to move two VMs from On-premises to Azure. I couldn't find a way to use the Physical Server Azure Migrate tool on a VM in Azure.
We tried a few things to get it working:
- We created Azure Site Recovery and set up a failover on Azure, but this didn't work.
- We copied the disk as a VHD to an Azure VM, converted the VHD to Fixed, then sent it to a PageBlob container in a storage account, and then created a managed disk to replicate the same VM.
This process takes time, and I don't think it will work for you, as you have to migrate 100 VMs.
