App server migration

I have a Customer willing to test some water in Azure. They do have an App server they want to start with. It is a member of an AD domain. I am going to set up a hybrid environment but I do not think it will be a good idea to bring the migrated server up right away to production. Probably the safer approach would be to migrate one of the DCs in the same bubble as the migrated app and make a test failover. Any better suggestions?

    Pl feel free to correct me if my understanding is incorrect. 

    I think you are asking if we should do a test migration before performing actual migration. I would do the same if I were in your place. 🙂
