Recovery Services Policy items

We've been running into limits on the number of virtual machines that can be added to a single Recovery Services Policy.  Seems to be 100, although we have several polices with more.  How can I get counts for the number of VMs assigned to a single policy via a script?  (I generally have trouble with the Az.RecoveryServices powershell cmdlets, they seem very different than anything else I work with in Azure).

    here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/backup/backup-support-matrix#vault-support theres is no hint for the Limit of 100... only the Limit of 1000 per Vault
