In HPC Pack 2019, a high availability (HA) cluster operates with a single active head node at any given time. Job scheduling is managed exclusively by this active node. The passive head node remains on standby and assumes control only in the event of a failover. The currently active head node can be identified through the HPC Cluster Manager interface or by reviewing the failover cluster role within Windows Server.
