Sequantial updating

Hi All,

 

Im looking a solution for the following use case.

 

I need to patch a server with azure arc that first patches SQL and after the reboot of the SQL updates are completed. It needs to start another patch run that starts the normal windows updates.

 

Is this possible within ARC ? I can not seem to find no solution. Other then splitting them up over more then 1 day.

    Hi BartG1k987 ,

     

    Right now your only option that I can think off would be to create different maintenance configurations via Azure update manager.

     

    But prescript and postscript support for Azure update manager is expected to be available by the end of 2023 which could potentially cater to your requirements by kicking off a WS update once the SQL is updated. But we'll have to wait for it to be available to see exactly what can be achieved.
