Error when trying to onboard Azure Arc in Windows Admin Center 2110.1

How is the state of the Azure Arc plugin, so the onboarding via WAC will be possible again?

Since months it errors out with a weird message that a string is too long.

Reproducible and also well-known across the community + topic specific MVPs.

    Good news: Tried to onboard an on-premises server to Azure Arc again with WAC 2110.2 + Azure Hybrid Center Plugin 2.27.0 and the issue is gone.

    edit: Also evaluated with WAC 2208, with Azure Hybrid Center Plugin 2.31.0, which works fine as well.

     

    fyi Manfred Helber, Manfred would you mind to check if you can reproduce this.

    Eventually also with 2208 preview?

      Must revise my original post. Confused Azure Arc onboarding with Azure Monitoring. Onboarding to Azure Monitoring is still affected for Arc-enabled Servers

      The Azure Monitoring has encountered an error. The string for the protocol entry is too long. A string may not exceed 32766 characters.

        I am also experiencing this still. I opened up a ticket with Microsoft months ago and they said they were going to come out with an update for it last month, but that never happened.
