Recreating Self-Signed certificate for Azure ATP Sensor

We've installed MDfI on our DCs, but noticed that on one of them the Azure ATP Service wasn't starting. Turns out that it depends on the Updater service which itself couldn't start due to certificate not found error.

 

We discovered that the self-signed certificate for Azure ATP Sensor had been removed from the Computer Personal store.

 

Is there a way to recreate this certificate short of uninstalling and reinstalling MDfI?

    Your only option at this point is to uninstall and reinstall the Sensor.
    It shouldn't be hard, and there is no data loss as the sensor does not keep state.
