Question about VPN and RADIUS Accounting.

Hello,

 

I have my VPN appliance set up to send RADIUS accounting to the sensor.  That part is working as verified via network capture.  Even with this the data doesn't seem to be showing up in the portal.

 

Question is does the username value in the RADIUS Accounting Request need to be UPN or something else?

  • Both SamName & UPN should work if the overall format makes sense.

      Chatted with support and they mentioned because the VPN device (Juniper Pulse Secure) was not on the supported list, it would not work. I said its sending the RADIUS accounting data per RFC and I needed to know what about it is wrong to make it not work. They will get with the product team to see what they say.

        Is the UPN suffix the users are logging to the VPN the same as the primary UPN? If not, did you add the suffix to the alternate UPNs list?

      EliOfek That was my thought but it doesn't seem to be the case since I don't see any sign of the VPN activity in the portal.  I have opened a case with MS and provided a network capture for review.
