Andrew Harris (AZURE SEC) I'd love to learn more on integrations whether that be with items like WDATP, or others that are in the roadmap.
A common issue I've had so far on the product is 'why upgrade'. I've asked this question to a few people at Microsoft, but nobody has been able to provide me an answer. I need to pitch upwards managers on why this is worth the upgrade from ATA, and what AATP will enhance. (I'm sure this can be an easy answer, but 'its runs in the cloud' isn't a good enough selling point!)
We can absolutely show you future integrations in a future Webinar :) We have a preview ongoing right now regarding integrating AATP with Microsoft Cloud App Security (MCAS) and Azure AD (AAD).
As for AATP vs ATA, do these slides help in any way? (the 3 slides should be attached to this)
AATP isn't just in the cloud. That enables drastically improved performance on the DCs. We also have additional data sources (i.e. "ETW"; Event Tracing for Windows) which allows us to have a larger set of detections. If we tried this on ATA, it would further hurt its performance as its not a cloud technology and thus has to already do tons more processing locally.
