YAML support for variable substitution - File Transform - Build Pipeline

As per Microsoft docs, variable support is only supported for XML & JSON.

I am using File Transform Task in Build Pipeline on Azure DevOps.

In that the File Format options are - XML, JSON.

But, I am having Maven Project which uses .yaml file to store configuration parameters.

But, I am unable to use YAML file for variable substitution in File Transform task.

Could you please confirm if YAML is currently not supported for variable substitution.

If it is supported, please help me with the needed implementation steps.
