Removing Tags

Hi All,

 

I am just wondering whether it is at all possible to entirely remove a work item tag from Azure DevOps so that it doesn't appear within the tag dropdown and cause confusion?

 

No resources online actually touch on this so I thought I'd ask here. The goal essentially being to remove certain work item tags from the project/organization.

    no, not from the Web ui.

      But no, I mean within Boards, the work item tags. I am looking to somehow just "Delete" some unused/unneeded tags from the board/project. My goal is for them to not appear as options and cause confusion when it comes to tagging work items. 

       

      Just to be clear, not looking to remove tags from individual work items, but from the board itself, or more specifically the tag dropdown.

       
      Now that I think of it, this may not be the best place to ask this, but I'm not sure where else at this point.
