Project to Migrate ADFS to Azure

Hi Experts, 

We currently have the below environment:

• On-premises Windows 2012 R2 ADFS
• On-premises Windows 2012 R2 ADFS in DMZ
• On-premises Windows 2012 R2 MFA
• On-premises Azure AD Connect on Windows 2012 R2
• Azure AD and SSO for 1 domain
• 2016 Forest and Domain functional level on 2019 servers

I am a senior system administrator and have been tasked with creating an outline/project for moving our on-premises environment to azure. I am new to ADFS/MFA and Azure so I could really use some help. I believe the main goal is to migrate away from ADFS to Azure but keep MFA and instead use Azure if that makes sense. I googled it but never really found what I was looking for so any help would be greatly appreciated, because to be honest I am in over my head and the outline Is due next week. Thanks in advance.
