Missing AzureRI for V6-Machines in the CSP Indirect Providers ?
Hi Folks,
I have noticed that none of the distributors like TD Synnex, Ingram, Pax8, ALSO via Indirect Channel have the dv6, ev6, Fv2 reservations. Is there a specific reason for this ? or are the distributors deliberately being disadvantaged compared to MCA (PAYG) and MCA-E ?
Because the VMs have been available since the end of November and now it's already April ?

I believe the direct reseller should be able to allow the customer to purchase reserved instances, if enabled on the customer in CSP. So you could talk to your direct reseller, and ask them to enable this feature on the customer.
I work for a direct reseller and if I enable this feature on a customer, and use an Azure subscription owner + billing admin in customer tenant, I can purchase the new reservations:So I your direct reseller (ALSO, TDX e.g.) have a custom portal for you to purchase via, most likely the direct resellers custom portal is missing these SKUs, and should be fixed by the direct reseller.
I believe there may be a chance of:
- Delayed Rollout: Sometimes, new VM series or features are rolled out in phases, and CSP channels might receive them later than MCA (PAYG) or MCA-E.
- Channel-Specific Limitations: Certain Azure services or features may not be prioritized for CSP Indirect Providers due to technical, contractual, or strategic reasons.
