Is RDS in Azure viable?

With the imminent demise of Azure RemoteApp, Azure Remote Desktop Services seems to be the only virtual desktop option still available in Azure. Can I get feedback from the community about Azure RDS virtual desktop performance / experience for end users?

    Hi Norman, 

     

    From the Enterprise Mobility Team "If you are using an Azure RemoteApp Plan SKU, you will not be able to add new collections after 10/1. However, if you are using Azure credits to consume Azure RemoteApp, you will see no change in service experience until August 31st 2017."

     

    If you currently have a large project, the best seems to run your own RDS on Azure, you would like to advise your customer on the preview: https://www.citrix.com/global-partners/microsoft/remote-app.html coming in Q4 2016, with general availability in early 2017.

     

    Seems that this release is going to be a separate feature similar to RemoteApp
