How we can run multiple docker agents in a single self hosted VM to utilize the resources??

I have a requirement where i would like to run multiple docker container for specific builds and after build it will get destroyed. all these docker agent will run on self hosted agent VM only.

So this will fulfil my requirement where we don't need to create separate VM for each build agents.

Please guide me how i would accomplish it.
