Azure Storage rest API performance

We are trying to push data using Azure APIs but the performance of the APIs is very slow. Copying the data directly seems to be faster than the rest APIs.

 

Any chance if or when a new rest APIs will be out that we can put to use. This would address a huge bottelneck we are seeing. Especially that Azure storage is pretty robust.
