Azure DevOps Test Plans Test retention - What influences setting back test outcome to Active?

I believe yes, when Azure DevOps Test Plans retention is set to “Never delete,” test outcomes are preserved indefinitely. The only scenario where a test outcome is reset to Active is when retention policies delete test runs/results; requirement changes or linked work item updates do not automatically reset outcomes.
