Error when creating Assistant in Microsoft Foundry using Fabric Data Agent
I was able to resolve the issue by assigning the project’s service principal with Contributor permissions in the Fabric workspace. I noticed that, for some reason, Foundry does not respond properly when the Data Agent is connected to a semantic model. Therefore, I migrated the data to a Lakehouse, and it worked as expected.

May I know how you do "..by assigning the project’s service principal with Contributor permissions in the Fabric workspace. " , I am not able to add into a security group, hence can't add to Fabric workspace.
MicrosoftYou can add the RBAC from the workspace "Manage access" menu Give Users Access to Workspaces - Microsoft Fabric | Microsoft Learn
In the "Add People or Groups" menu, if you start typing your foundry resource name, you'll see a bunch of principals listed. I'm not sure which one is required, but I added the agent identity principals and the project managed identity. Basically, every identity except the blueprint identity
