Can the Direct Line Speech channel be used with a bot app inside of a VNet?

We would like to develop a speech-powered virtual assistant on a custom desktop client for use within our corporation. Because our bot app needs to talk to other internal tools, we would need vnet integration. From the documentation I've seen, it looks like the bot app can't be on a vnet if we are relying on the Direct Line Speech channel (although the Direct Line App Service Extension works for Direct Line, if speech is not required). Can you confirm and comment on when/if it would be possible to use the Direct Line Speech channel with vnet integration?
