Hi Carlo, have you received any update or workaround from Microsoft?
We’re experiencing a different background-mode issue in Foundry: the toggle is greyed out across every model we’ve tried. Our asynchronous requests go from queued to canceled, then disappear from the logs available to us. This is blocking course generation in production.
Were you able to enable background mode directly in the playground, or did you configure it through the API? We have an open support case, and any findings from your investigation would be helpful.
