Adding Microsoft Account with same email as Azure AD account

Hi There   I have a microsoft account which I need to add to the Azure AD to get my Visual Studio Team Services access attached to my Office 365 AD / Azure AD.  This seems to be impossible to do ...

are you not able to add your Outlook.com account as a Guest user? It Works for me

    Thanks, that didn't do the trick unfortunately. I really wanted to link up my work Azure AD profile with my MS account which is attached to my visual studio profile.  This is so I can login to Visual Studio with my work Azure AD profile.
