What's New in Copilot for Sales - November 2024

This month’s release features the public preview of a new CRM sign in experience in Teams!

Microsoft Copilot for Sales is reimagining sales. Integrated seamlessly into your daily tools across Microsoft 365 and Teams, Copilot for Sales harnesses the power of generative AI and customer data to keep sellers in their flow of work so they can spend more time with customers.

 

To reduce friction and increase efficiency for first time users of Copilot for Sales, this month we’ve released the public preview of an enhanced sign in experience in Microsoft Teams for both Dynamics 365 Sales and Salesforce® CRM users.

 

Capabilities highlighted below are included in this month’s release of Copilot for Sales. It may take time for specific capabilities to reach every tenant in each market.

 

In Teams

 

CRM sign in experience in Teams (public preview)

 

Until now, first time users of Copilot for Sales who start from Microsoft Teams face friction as they must first open Outlook to sign into their CRM. The sign in capabilities previously supported in Teams did not have parity and consistency with the sign in capabilities in Outlook.

 

With this month’s release, we’re excited to announce the public preview of a new sign in experience for Teams designed for Copilot for Sales users who open the Teams Personal App for the first time.

 

  • Dynamics 365 Sales users will be automatically signed in to an environment even if they have never signed in before, using similar rules as Outlook. Sellers can confirm or change this environment to suit their needs. If they have multiple environments, they will also be able to switch their environment without first signing out.

 

  • Salesforce users will be able to sign in to any of their environments directly from the Teams Personal App.
