Microsoft partners with leading SD-WAN and connectivity providers to enhance SASE security.

Microsoft is enhancing network access and security for today’s enterprises by partnering with leading SD-WAN and connectivity providers. This collaboration is reshaping secure branch connectivity, uniting Microsoft’s Security Service Edge (SSE) solution with best-in-class connectivity to streamline the journey toward a unified SASE architecture.

Automated integration for optimal security and seamless connectivity

Microsoft Entra Internet Access, a core component of Microsoft’s SSE solution, now integrates seamlessly with various SD-WAN and network connectivity providers, enabling optimal, secure connectivity between Microsoft’s identity-centric SSE solution and third-party network infrastructure. By linking Microsoft Entra Internet Access (shows under Global Secure Access in Microsoft Entra admin center) with SD-WAN platforms providers, organizations can enhance their existing network connectivity solutions to incorporate Microsoft's SASE ecosystem from a single, centralized location, creating a streamlined experience.

Our partners—including Aviatrix and Teridion —offer automated integrations with Microsoft's SASE ecosystem, allowing customers to securely scale and extend their networks with minimal effort.

The key benefits these joint solutions offer include:

  • Automated and simplified workflow deployment: Through automated workflows and pre-configured templates, IT teams can quickly deploy and secure branch connectivity without extensive manual configurations. These pre-built configurations simplify the SD-WAN setup, enabling IT teams to deploy secure branch connections in minutes instead of hours or even months.
  • Unified security: Microsoft’s SSE solution integrates with third-party SD-WAN and network providers to enforce robust security controls. Managed through the Microsoft Entra admin center, Conditional Access simplifies identity and network access management across branch locations.
  • Optimal connectivity: Seamless, secure connections between Microsoft’s SSE solution and third-party infrastructure, enhancing overall network performance.

This unified approach across security, identity, and networking allows organizations to enforce identity-centric controls across all connections for users across multiple locations, without compromising network performance.

Customizable, scalable integrations with leading partners

For organizations seeking customization, Microsoft offers templatized integrations with leading vendors such as Arista Networks, Check Point, Cisco Systems (Catalyst and Meraki), HPE Aruba, Juniper Networks, and Versa Networks. Templates allow IT teams to configure SD-WAN deployments according to their unique network architecture while utilizing Microsoft's SSE solution and its centralized network security controls.

These joint solutions provide simplified configurations that enterprises can align with specific network needs delivered through SD-WAN with Microsoft’s network security capabilities. Additionally, templated integrations offer scalable network security and adaptive connectivity, enabling rapid scaling to secure connections for a hybrid workforce and remote branch offices with minimal setup and reduced complexity.

Strengthening our SASE ecosystem

Microsoft is dedicated to growing its SD-WAN and network connectivity partnerships,
adding more capabilities to its SASE partner ecosystem. Soon, vendors like Cisco
Catalyst, Check Point, Nile, and Versa Networks will join, bringing advanced
automation and enhanced secure connectivity options. Our expanding partner ecosystem empowers organizations to accelerate their SASE deployments by combining Microsoft’s identity-centric security with optimized SD-WAN connectivity, providing simple user experience.
