Could you please share some more information on the coming update, so that we can prepare in a better way?
- Will this update apply for 2008 Server family? It is now outside the extended support cycle, so are you planning to skip it or not?
- How this update will be distributed to different systems? E.g. for Server 2016 and 2019, will it be a part of monthly cumulative patch, or it will be a separate update? Same for 2012 and eventually 2008 - will it be a separate patch, or part of roll-up?
- How big are chances that Microsoft will reconsider changing default behavior of LDAP Server Signing? We are starting a huge project to make sure our customers don't get in trouble in March, but we all know that there are a lot of poorly maintained environments, which will have issues. For many people, it's hard to believe that MS will really enforce signing, as this could have huge impact on so many systems. And yes, of course, signing had to be enabled long time ago, but in many cases, there are valid reasons why it hasn't been done yet.
