Well Dustin it is different, but it is not like it is not / nothing there.
Of course monitoring integration is better for Azure Stack HCI. If anyone has Windows Server Datacenter licensing requirements, SA is often included in current Volume Licensing contracts (Open, EA, CSP Subscription), so Azure Stack HCI, ESU, Azure Update Manager, Monitoring for the Stack HCI, and other things are essentially paid or greatly reducted like Kubernetes + Azure Virtual Desktop. If you require a neat automation / integration on VxRAIL level, Premier Nodes are a good way to go, for a price.
There are only limited scenarios where Azure Stack HCI wouldn't be a good path to transition to for both VMware and existing Hyper-V customers, but that's just my fav.
VMware vCenter has it's strenghts, no doubts.
I personally like the HW + security more with Azure Stack HCI + licensing benefits and getting rid off patching VMware tools, which becomes harder now with VBS protected VMs on VMware.
Microsoft Windows Server 2025 will be still great, and a very anticipated release imho. When running multiple and even uniform configured clusters Azure Stack HCI make things much more easier. We'll have the choice for different requirements.
