Will 2022 Hyper-V hosts be supported in the future or will 2025 be the GA baseline?

seems to be hit and miss with some adopter however it is in preview so from what I understand it will be later as 2025 is the focus.

Yes, Windows Server 2022 Hyper-V hosts will be supported in the future. Windows Admin Center Virtualization Mode requires Network ATC to configure your NICs which is a feature of Windows Server 2025. We have done the work to backport Network ATC to Windows Server 2022 and that will be enabled in Q1 of 2026 via Windows Update. Windows Server 2022 will be the minimum Hyper-V host supported. Personally, I would still recommend Windows Server 2025 for all of the new Hyper-V features such as GPU-Partitioning, Dynamic Processor Compatibility, NVMe Storage Performance improvements and much more…
