The RSS feed has problems. I've been using my RSS reader for many years with the many MSFT blogs I follow. This update has broken things.
One is how images no longer work. Looks like they've all been turned into buttons, which should work in a RSS reader but something is broken in how it's been done at your sites.
The feeds have several compatibility issues. Check at the W3C validator results.

That's fine, but is this new article to suggest that that's not necessary anymore? If so, I can't figure out the new way when it comes to an overall feed for all blog posts. I did see it per blog.

Do you mean to have at least some functionality available in previous version (not only RSS) out of the box we have to do some dances on client site with unexpected result?
