The sudden removal of RSS feeds is a massive downgrade. As a partner, the ability to effectively track all of the myriad product-specific blogs through RSS feeds has been crucial for staying informed and helping Microsoft customers adopt of new features and products. The blog-specific RSS feeds need to come back ASAP.
For example, the ability to serve easy Teams-integrated blog tracking solutions like the one in the image above is 100% predicated in feeds being programmatically accessible.
It's another step back for the open web. Sites are abandoning RSS everywhere to force you to engage on their pages. I use RSS to aggregate and share links on my blog every day. I've had to stop sharing information from so many great resources because they removed their RSS/Atom feeds.
