Copilot v1, the experience you reference, is included in the Viva Suite or C&C license, and that continues unchanged. There are no changes to that experience as part of this launch.
This post refers specifically to the launch of Microsoft 365 Copilot in Viva Engage, which is a separate experience. Since it is built on the broader M365 Copilot platform, it requires an M365 Copilot license to deliver the fully integrated experience we’re aiming for.
Thanks Trisharti, for the answer and the reference. It’s interesting to read, but I’m sure many users will be confused by having two Copilots in Viva Engage, especially if both licenses are in use. Personally, I would call Engage Copilot v1 the legacy version, since I don’t expect further development for it. But we will see.
