>>The way we see and promote it is that Viva Home is an add on to the user experience of the intranet, where you as an user want a quick overview on-the-go, this is where you go. If you want to access your Viva apps this is the place etc. If you need to visit the intranet, it's one click away.
Thank you, Nicolas, for this perspective. I never thought about it like that. That certainly is a logical proposition for how Viva and the intranet can coexist. Whether this coexistence adds value to the users' lives or if they would rather have just one platform remains to be seen.
I would love to hear more from Microsoft how they imagine the relationship between Viva and the intranet. Since the 'Intelligent Intranet' is not really actively promoted by Microsoft while a lot of noise is made about Viva, it always felt to me like Microsoft was betting everything on Viva and leaving intranet by the wayside. I wish Microsoft would just repackage the 'Intelligent Intranet' as 'Viva Intranet' and develop one cohesive vision to serve the most important needs of the users. Adding Viva as another platform running before or in parallel to the intranet (or Yammer in regards to Viva Engage) doesn't seem like the right way to go.
