What is your recommendation in the case of VHD's on IDE Controller? The Edit button is locked when the VHD is under an IDE Controller while the vm is running. What is the recommended order of events in this scenario? Must I bring the VM, replica, and extended replica offline, at the same time then compact the VHD on each, then bring online and resume replication? I'm afraid that process wouldn't complete in time, I only have about a seven hour window when I can bring production systems offline. Would resizing the replica first, failing over to replica, reversing replication; then resizing the new replica be the way to do it?
