I very much agree with CivFan proboszcz and everyone else in this thread except GuillaumeIT64
Yes VFIO is an option and I have tried it running proxmox on the host machine (3600 Ryzen) however to VFIO properly I need two gpu's and I only have 1 GPU in my desktop. (R3600 has no iGPU)
My 4800U laptop also has just 1 integrated GPU, so it prevents VFIO also.
Right now, there is no choice except dual booting Arch and windows 10 to use my hardware at full spec with either OS, and nested Virt on AMD + Hyper-V would solve this.
so yes, we need to pressurize MS to bring Hyper-V AMD Nested!!!!, lets not allow ms to gimp our cpu's.
Proxmox Kinda works, but VFIO still only allows 1 GPU at a time so all the Linux stuff is CLI only or Spice and I cannot use Virtio-GPU on Virgl.
There really does not seem any good solution to this other than buy more GPU's / Buy an Intel CPU.
I am still trying to find a solution
